We are both passionate about people and about teaching, therefor have chosen to direct this passion into “water training”. Combined we have 29 years of experience in a variety of different water disciplines. We have taught,
and completed training in South Africa, Mozambique, Indonesia and most recently extensive swim training in the United States. This with the intention of staying up to date with the best possible techniques and teaching methodologies.

The Starfish Swimming curriculum was developed by the internationally recognized & acclaimed Starfish Aquatics Institute. The streamlined, innovative and learner-focused curriculum uses an “ages and stages” format so that we can offer you swim lessons across the lifespan to a broad range of interests.
The StarBabies and StarTots Program introduces infants and toddlers to the water in a fun and loving environment. Parents or caregivers are taught the proper techniques to teach their infants and toddlers how to float, submerge, move in the water and rollover. Classes incorporate songs and activities to meet the swim skill benchmarks. Safety skill benchmarks are designed to educate
the parents or caregivers.
The Swim School Program for
pre-school, youth and adult students focus on meeting core competencies required to develop efficient swimming skills and age appropriate safety skills: trust and submersion;
body positions and air recovery
(includes rollover to back for air recovery);
forward movement and direction change;
rotary movement (transitions from rollover to side position for air recovery);
functional strokes; and
age-appropriate safety skills.
The Stroke School Program for
pre-school, youth and
adult students develop effective technique and endurance for:
Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly & Breaststroke
Our newly built state of the art Indoor Heated Salt Pool in Roodepoort, Johannesburg is kept at a constant 32 degrees thanks to our 3 Heat Pumps and 14 Solar Panels and a silent generator large enough to run everything in case of load shedding. Our water quality is impeccable due to being monitored constantly and the salt water ensures that the water is not harsh on your skin and eyes unlike chlorine pools.
We custom designed & built our pool to accommodate a range of water activities from Learn to Swim, Aqua Fitness, Scuba Diving and much more with rails, ramps & steps for all ages and physical abilities.
Furthermore we offer changing rooms, baby changing stations, toilets, a warm rinse-off shower, swim suit & hair dryers. a Large outside enclosed play area offers fun for children all ages - a beach themed Jungle Gym, Basketball Hoops, Trampoline, Swing Ball and much more.
The entire premise is monitored by CCTV cameras, including our tarred parking lot. To make your time with us more comfortable we also have retail / snack shop area and an outside patio seating area where you can relax while the kids swim!
